Iran has told the United Nations that all US and Israeli bases and assets in the region are legitimate military targets, citing its right to self-defence under Article 51 of the UN Charter. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also confirmed that Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei is alive and said Tehran’s strikes are aimed only at US military installations amid escalating tensions.
